Application and Registration

To apply for the Sustainability Semester in Residence, you must complete the SSR application. If you are not currently a Goshen College student, you are eligible to apply, but you must also complete the general application for Goshen College. The 2013 application deadline is March 4, with rolling admissions thereafter.

The SSR is designed for third- and fourth-year undergraduate students. Second-year students are considered on a case-by-case basis. First-year students are not eligible to participate.

For students already enrolled at Goshen College:

  1. Discuss with your academic advisor how participation in the SSR fits in your overall program of study.
  2. Complete the SSR Application (found below). The SSR faculty committee will review your application in a timely manner. As part of your application and with your consent, the SSR faculty committee receives a recommendation from Goshen College Student Life and Health/Wellness Offices. There is no other paperwork for you to complete.
  3. Once your admission is confirmed, Laura Yoder will forward your registration request to the Goshen College Registrar. You do not need to register for the courses online.

For undergraduate students enrolled at other colleges/universities ("non-degree seeking students"):

  1. Discuss with your academic advisor how participation in the SSR fits in your overall program of study.

  3. Apply for admission to Goshen College as a non-degree seeking student. You fill out the undergraduate Goshen College application (see link below), see Admission Requirements for details.
