Due date for application & materials: March 6, 2024.

  • These may include summer & part-time work; travel, volunteer activities, campus activities, church activities, and community activities. Other art related activities may include: collections related to your art interests, participation in exhibitions where your own work is included, art sales, art donations, art orders and commissions, attendance at museums and galleries, art journaling activities, artwork NOT done for classes including maintaining a sketchbook and work in other media done for artistic reasons.
  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
  • By submitting this form, I give permission for my form submission and visit to this website to be tracked, to have the data I provided and information about my browser stored, and for this information to be shared with select third parties as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

Two things to add to your application:

1. Portfolio of Artwork

Actual work, jpg images, or Internet personal home page artwork are acceptable. Please present your work in a form that does it justice. Poor quality images make it difficult to see the quality of the artwork. Often, the actual work is the best presentation. The portfolio must include the following:

  • 3 drawings
  • 3 works in your concentration area
  • 3 others works of your choice.

If you are showing actual artwork, the administrative assistant for the art department will set up a time and place for you to bring your work.
Images can be e-mailed to: vberkey@goshen.edu

On each image, artwork, or website artwork include:

  • your name
  • size of work
  • media
  • date the work was completed

2. Writing Sample

A 2 to 3 page art essay from a class assignment or a descriptive review of a Goshen College Gallery exhibit. Must be word-processed. Send it as an Attached Document to an e-mail message to: vberkey@goshen.edu
