Winter Nature Field Trip

Think like a detective during this program, designed to explore life in the winter!  Although we don’t always see it, many animals are very active in the winter, and are busy looking for food (or trying to avoid becoming food!).  While outside on a hike through our sometimes-snowy wonderland, students will look for evidence of life, activity out on our trails and in our ecosystems.  Tracks, scat, and other signs show that life is abundant, even in those cold winter months!

While warming up indoors, students will learn about animal’s winter survival strategies like migration and hibernation. Learn all about tracks, or try moving like an animal yourself in this winter-themed exploration.
